THAT was satisfying. I've been printing the front for a sidecar-type enclosure for my ACA500+ Amiga accellerator for use with my A1000...at an angle, on supports, as you do to make it look nice. Hey fellow nerds.
How do you handle large-ish volume backups between Linux hosts? About 1TB of data. Source has 100Mbps upload. Receiving end is Gbit.
Incrementals will be essential, since full backup is nearly a day's worth of upload.
FOSS suggestions only at this stage. It's currently performing backups put of my control with Veeam and I'm a bit nervous about the whole situation being out of my hands.

Learning more about Flutter so I made a custom RenderBox, LeafRenderObjectWidget and Widget to render Commodore 64 character sets! 🤓
(Well, probably any 8-bit character set really)

The rainy day's been good for finding some Round Tuits at home. I upgraded Woodpecker CI, put auth in front of VictoriaLogs, fixed the network weirdness with my wife's k8s lab, and did some other long-awaited upgrade and backup activity. Hurrah.

Saw someone on here talking about how medical offices keep mistaking OP's email for various patients' emails and sending OP these patients' medical records.
Makes me think of how in my email address, the username part is an entire sentence. I created it more than 25 years ago and will never change it unless forced to. Even though I have to spell it for intake nurses and secretaries everywhere.

I use em/en dashes all the time, even here, but mostly in my professional work. I'm sure nobody else really notices, but I do. I pad em dashes — as in a space before and after — heh — while a lot of pubs don’t and I think it looks bad.

Repurposing aging #tech... Mounted these donated Fire HD 8 tablets to my workbench to provide me with print cam streaming and dedicated background entertainment, without taking up valuable space on my PC monitors.

So, I heard the kids are crazy about wood accents on their gaming PCs nowadays. Making a little wooden touch on my own computer here, with a 3D-printed C64 side bracket and a scrap piece of thick ipe veneer. It's a little rough around the edges still, but I think it might work out ok when it's oiled and lightly sanded. #nerdery #commodore #c64 #retrocomputing
