    Ever since the days of #Nehru the gov't of India #GoI has kept its head firmly in the sand wrt. #PRC and its 'string of pearls' encircling #India. If there are coordinating offices looking at these issues they are a well-kept secret. #NGOs could expand understanding of India's neighbourhood and potentially help those neighbours understand India better too. Mr #Modi doesn't strike me as someone keen on NGOs though...

    One key neighbour #Tibet is obviously off-limits under hostile CCP rule, but full understanding of its non-military situation sounds kind of worthy objective, one would think.

    Ultimately #injustice and #instability in the neighbourhood are also a matters of #NatSec.
