Happy to spot this Little Spiderhunter (Arachnothera longirostra) at Bukit Batok Nature Park, Singapore, on 13 July 2025. This uncommon resident bird is a member of the Sunbird family: its long and sharp, curved beak alerted me that this was no ordinary sunbird.

Saw the Black-throated Sunbird (Aethopyga saturata) several times during our stay at Fraser’s Hill, Malaysia. But they don’t make it easy to get shots, constantly moving about under the shade of branches while calling and feeding.
At least this fellow was willing to stay in one place for long enough to get some shots. Taken on 18 Nov 2018.
