Apparently the renovations of the House of Commons propose desks to remain for the front benches, and benches with foldout trays for those in behind.
Not sure how I feel about this. I note that the Mother of Parliaments has benches only, no desks. But Canada's #Parliament has always had desks.

An RBC report released Tuesday confirmed that new investment in Canada has completely collapsed during the Liberals’ tenure in power. “Between 2015 and 2024, more than $1 trillion of investment exited Canada — the largest capital exodus in Canadian history,” the report says. “For every dollar of inward FDI, two dollars exited.”

If a website really doesn't want me to read it if I'm not looking at their ads [1], I really prefer the "please turn off your ad-blocker" wall / dialog / whatever. I know instantly what the issue is, and I can close the site and go elsewhere for information.
When instead they throw up a fake "something technical went wrong" message, it's just gaslighting. It's an insult. Yes, I'm looking at you, Postmedia sites.
[1] It's funny, I read the dead-tree editions of various newspapers for decades and never looked at the ads, and they didn't seem to have a problem with it then.
