    Heute habe ich erfahren, dass #TWRP nur Dateien unter /data/data/ verschlüsseln kann: github.com/TeamWin/Team-Win-Re

    Auf meinem Smartphone (BQ Aquaris X = bardock) werden selbst diese Dateien nicht verschlüsselt, obwohl TWRP mich ein Passwort festlegen ließ.

    Never rely on #TWRP encrypting your #Nandroid #backups.

    TIL: TWRP encrypts only files below /data/data/ “due to performance reasons,” someone told me here: github.com/TeamWin/Team-Win-Re (this is not mentioned in the FAQ)

    In fact, on my device, a BQ Aquaris X alias #bardock, TWRP does not even encrypt files in /data/data/, although it happily let me enter a password before backing up.

    Now I'm hoping that LineageOS' own recovery that came out recently is less crappy.
