    I recently got a #bonus for the first time, and it was, in my own, non-professional phrasing, super cool.

    I felt inspired and motivated to keep going.

    But a few months out? That dopamine hit is gone.

    And I'll have to wait another year for the chance of a bonus again.

    The lack of long-term engagement is one of the problems with #MonetaryIncentives, and it's why all employers should consider a mix of financial rewards + nonmonetary incentives.
