Except...we just now back at home realized we forgot our largest piece of gear at Messukeskus...our large folding table. We packed everything carefully, well there were actually 3 of us, and each and every one of us completely missed the table 😂 How exactly that happened, I'll never now. I had decided to change the gender of a minor character and a misplaced pronoun made it all the way past me and my editor into the final printing.
I didn’t notice until I was recording the audiobook.
Minor issue at the end of the day, but oh my goodness do I feel silly about it. 😅

I live in regret. This past week I restocked on longer lasting treats for my girl. She loves sheep horns so I got a couple of those and threw in a couple of yak cheese chews to see how she likes them. I'm always on the hunt for things she can't swallow whole in 10 minutes. Yesterday I opened the yak chews. OMG!! Doggie joy!! So excited she was! And the one I gave her lasted an hour...maybe more. Today however, the humans are sad. Copious unspeakable yak cheese farts are the order of the day. Portrait of the little stinker hogging up my office blanket. Yes, she'll get them again. But not often. I think it's important that we all take our mistakes with grace and humility. For example, I remember when my dad first plugged a phone chord into his laptop. Not in a built-in depression, no I'm much older than that, but in a slide out plate, and I heard the screams of dying robots for the first time. I'd seen my first robot sacrifice to the internet gods.
He looked at me and said "This will change the world".
I looked at him skeptically. Why would anyone sacrifice cool sticks, beating your siblings with pool noodles and scrambling over rocks or playing with the neighbors for this silly "AOL" like where did he get that disk anyways? Internet? nah it'll never take off so long as there's sticks.
Oh jeeze was I wrong. Now I am stuck with people that don't know a universe without the internet or phones. I remember the USSR and these kids don't know a universe without google. My mom has a piece of the Berlin Wall she prouldy displays to this day because it fell shortly before our family was stationed in Sohren. I learned how to use the Almanac and the Dewey decimal system because I was in school before the prototype launch of Google in 1995.
It's important to accept that sometimes our decisions and predictions are just the worst and that is not a judge of our character. We can't change so long as we ca't accept we are wrong. I'm really really smart but also sometimes I just make the worst decisions anyone could ever make. Like dating a meth addict that's true problem was cheating but that's a story for another time.

Not sure which is worse: doing an hour of grafting (aka Kitchener stitch), or having to undo an hour's worth of grafting and pick stitches up again, bc you were an idjit and started on the wrong side. Took an hr to notice bc I was juggling grafting sts and TV. Sigh.
