For those that are into 1st/3rd person 3D puzzles, and/or metroidvania I can highly recommend "Talos Principle 2" from a studio in Croatia, and "MIO - Memories In Orbit" from France.
The former has incredibly clever puzzles coupled with a story and setting permeated by philosophy about what consciousness and being human really is.
The latter is on par with Silksong for me. Great story and atmosphere.

We had a good offline break. Played Backgammon, Loud Librarians, and videogames. Eldest is loving the new metroidvania, ##Mio. It's so pretty, but super tough. Great lore.

This #Mio videogame looks real neat, but one thing keeps popping up in reviews.....
And that's the lack of save points before boss fights. Okay....I can deal with that provided that the run-backs aren't too bad.

Real shame as this is doing really well on the review front, it's just that those specific things are my kryptonite.

It's funny. I started playing the MIO: Memories in Orbit demo, and it didn't hit me that this game was a Metroidvania until I unlocked the map. So far this game has been a mood and minimal dialogue reveals an interesting story.
