Is Milliband the best candidate here?
On Starmer's exit, unifying strongly around the greatest change message to voters would be powerful.
Start a draft Milliband group?

@pedestrians1st this is a #Labour government in name only. All the cabinet, with the possible exception of #Milliband, are Tories.

Meanwhile, in another part of the forest... #Climate #China #Milliband
"Frankly, I consider it to be negligence towards today’s and future generations not to engage China on this topic.”

Today’s evidence that #Starmer and #Milliband are just #Tory lite…caving immediately to the house building lobby on putting #solar pv panels on new builds.
They’ve crafted a weasel word defence literally fed to them by lobbyists around shade and unsuitable roofs. It’s just a gaping loophole, which will be exploited for all its worth…while residents pay the price.

Corbyn was never going to win - in any political climate at all - let alone after that 2016 #brexit disaster
There was a very good reason why Jeremy never ever served in any cabinet or shadow cabinet position prior to the #milliband invitation for every Tory, anarchist & SWP type to saddle Labour with a useless leader in 2015 despite being an MP for the 32 years beforehand
And that reason was not just because he is too left wing!
-
Well I am hopeful the party wont ever again be as careless as #Milliband was, allowing entryists* a vote for his replacement. I do not think that was deliberate, simply a failure to think thru consequences
* both far left SWP types & right-wing mischief making Tories (& worse) - 100,000s of votes by unknown people
Corbyn is not evil - simply unsuitable as a leader of anything. With a deaf ear when it comes to anti-semitism.
-
Tell me - who did you vote for up until 2010?
Life really is too short to get "beyond angry" -
"Resignation" was what I felt 2011 - 2020 whilst first #Milliband then #Corbyn stuffed it up by forgetting that the first duty of the LOTO is to get the party elected to power - enabling the most #rightPopulist BS govt of my lifetime to get away with murder by their incompetence
I recommend it over incoherent anger

he's just one guy - you think he can get away with murder when the entire shadow cabinet are looking on?
Or do you also have a problem with #nandy #reeves #cooper #milliband & the rest?

Well there may be some truth - all I know is that whenever #labour tries to go left and appoints a leader from the #left it loses. #Wilson, #Blair won elections (3 each) #foot, #kinnock, #milliband and #corbyn lost them.
So I am unconvinced it is purely a personal reaction - more likely the red-tops poison the water for such leaders in reaction to their policies.
I am sick of #labour losing.
-
Well that is not what polls say - and no #labour leader - not #foot, #kinnock, #milliband or #corbyn - has won from the #left of #labour since 1945 when there are a world war on and returning troops yearned for a new jerusalem
#wilson and #blair are the model for winning power, not #benn
(not a phrase that works in the current era when Palestine is ablaze....but it was the one used then)
