That’s basically the story of the past 25 years. Matty Moroun and his spawn have been calling billionaire buddies to argue for their permanent monopoly on bridge crossing between Detroit and Windsor for as long as I’ve lived in Michigan. It didn’t work on Rick Snyder, thankfully. Even still, the only way it got past the #MIGOP legislature back then was Canada calling their bluff on funding.
We should be grateful for Canada. -

His Democratic opponent Carl Marlinga almost beat him for the seat in ’22, When a Trotskyist (WCP) and a Libertarian each drew substantially more than the margin of victory. The same 4 candidates were on the ballot this year.

Is he an exciting political rockstar who is on the path to becoming POTUS someday? No.
Is he really representative of #MI10? Yes.
Unlike the odious John James, who only beat him by a few hundred votes last time despite the #MIGOP pouring money into the race, Marlinga has a strong record of public service in the district.
