Stimulating review of the Venice Architecture Biennale from Lorenzo Marsili. Reminds me of the importance Walter Mignolo attaches to thinking of Europeans as indigenous:

Certainly my take-away is that modernist, liberal humanism should be downgraded from its central position as a homogenising (and colonising) universal benchmark by which everything else is to be judged, to merely being one system of thought among a global multi-polarity of others – one that is indeed indigenous to Europe and the West.
