New progress on my latest musical composition. I put in some square wave tones that play a D and then go down to an A in a continuous pitch gradient. Had to calculate the frequency of the D by multiplying 440 Hz (the frequency of A) by 2^(5/12) according to the 12TET formula. 😅

what's the best software for making midis on linux?
i used tuxguitar for years but it seems to have "updated" in such a way as to uhhh not work very well/easily. i can't figure out how to get it to make sound and every time i look it up i just get completely befuddled. i'd like to be able to keep the tab notation if possible but i'm relearning classical notation so i can do that if need be. piano roll is fine but not ideal
