PEAK QESTIONABLE COMPLIMENT

Yesterday, it emerged that, under ordinary circumstances, MGUS is not followed up with anything like the enthusiasm applied to mine. This is, I was informed – once again – because I am “medically fascinating.”

I ventured to suggest that such fascination might perhaps merit a thorough inspection of my immune system. I can't help but feel that when fascination is involved, there may be scope for a little extra curiosity.

Alas, no. The region has resolved that no one is to be investigated for SID.

(For the record: PID and SID are, in essence, the same affair, except that one arrives at birth. Which is the only version considered deserving of serious investigation and treatment. Apparently.)

And so matters rest. World-class Swedish healthcare, ladies and gentlemen.

4/ this latest episode of extreme #caregiving involved all three of us getting sick. whether it was a cold or covid, i don't know. none of us tested positive, but all of us were headachy & sniffly for a week.

for my dad with #ParkinsonsDisease, #dementia, urinary & fecal #incontinence, & my mother with #CVD, #CHF, #COPD, #MGUS, #dementia, #ThyroidDisease, severe #osteoporosis, #KidneyDisease, #raynauds, etc... having even just a cold makes everything worse.
