Yes… we’ve been here before with shift work & cancer risk:
“ research indicates that while night shift work does not itself increase your risk of developing cancer, this type of working pattern may lead to other factors that do increase your risk.”Looks like some comprehensive meta-analyses since a link was posited in 2007:
“ What does the latest research say about night shifts and cancer risk?
“In 2016, a meta-analysis (which combines the data of many different studies together) found no link between night shift work and breast cancer. In 2020, another meta-analysis that included data from 57 different studies and at least nine different types of cancer found no increased risk with night shift work.”And: “Science funded by our Curestarters found that night shift workers are more likely to be overweight and have a high waist circumference, both of which are important risk factors for cancer. This research could inform new advice for night shift workers – for example by limiting the number of night shifts people are asked to work.”
There’s a bit more at the reference; I was aware of the 2007 association so it was good to get up to date on the results of further testing that association for cause.

Oh no how could we have known.
#Studies with fake #data get laundered through #metaAnalyses
Also data from poorly designed studies, too. Like Loeb's.
