Dear Fediverse community, Do you like to have compartmentalized Fediverse accounts for various things you do or are interested in? (Text-based posts for Mastodon, photos for Pixelfed, etc). Or do you prefer one account to try to do it all? Also, what are the benefits or drawbacks of each? I’ve tried both ways myself, but would appreciate anyone who is willing to offer their two cents! Apps like #IceCubes place a “Messages” tab directly on their application nav bar. I wonder how many people send #DirectToots to one another here on #mastodon.

How often do you use the direct toots feature of Mastodon? 🤔

Also worth noting that Mastodon does not have a #messaging feature. Direct toots are just unlisted toots that can only be seen by those people who’s names are mentioned in the toot.
