Cracked open an email from Maslow to discover they had updated things quite a while ago so that you no longer need to strap a brick to the router. It can run totally horizontally if you want.

Ok, so I managed to get another version of GroundControl to run. Which is closer to the original than the one I had running earlier, which is promising. Now I need to test it on the machine itself (eventually 😅)
Definitely need to write all this madness down somewhere…

I ended up finding a compiled modified version of GroundControl that did at least start, but he calibration did not work properly, so that wasn't all that helpful either.
Now I'm kind of stuck on what to do.
* Get old Ground Control to run
* Get WebControl to run on my MacBook (probably harder than Ground Control)
* Setup WebControl on another machine, either a RPi or an x86 MacBook (not sure how much trouble that might be)
* Something I didn't think of yet...Any recommendations?

Is there anyone here running a #MaslowCNC? This weekend, thanks to @dmt_muc and some other friends, we started finally setting up the machine I bought like 7 seven years ago. And we had a really hard time getting the software up and running. "Normal" Ground Control wouldn't start and seems deprecated, and WebControl wouldn't start on my MacBook (M1), and I wasn't able to setup the required Python virtual environment.
