#Car #DIY topic. Refinished this #ManualTransmission plastic reverse lock collar. This belongs to a 2016 #KiaRio. The original electroplated aluminum was peeling in places. I hated feeling it under my fingers. Scraping all of it cleanly was laborious, taking well over an hour. That I did some filing, and sanding: 240, 300, 400. Not the best surface prep but whatever. Sprayed with Rust-Oleum self priming aluminum stuff.
