#17: “Sword of Orion.”
On the gun/frock scale, way too gun for me. Being an almost word-for-word use of an old Audio Visuals script — meaning McGann is, in effect, playing the more enigmatic, more distant Nick Briggs incarnation — that’s, like, not even a diss, it’s #DoctorWho for and BY the crowd that demands it be taken seriously, who see the path to that respect as, “Doctor Who” should be self-serious hard sci-fi ala “Alien” where people shoot guns a lot. Not my bag.
