I rode #Waymo a lot during the 2024 fires in Los Angeles. I'm sorry this is not the negative #AI vibe of #mastodon, but it is really good, really smart, defensive and conservative, very safe. Anyone have opinions on whether #Uber or #Lyft is better?

Lyft changed the price on me multiple times. Recently, it said "Since you updated your stop or destination, your fare reflects actual time and distance". I didn't make any changes!

On the next trip, it sent the driver to the wrong location. I think that is Apple's fault. Their GPS was total garbage in downtown Seattle. But Lyft's app didn't give me a way of contacting the driver to find out where he was. They charged me a waiting fee.
