It's insane how much of a powder keg Loudoun County, VA is. The comments on this article are extreme but, of course, the most enraged comments make clear the fact that the comment was made by someone who didn't even bother to read the article.

Things are about to change for data centers in Loudoun County. I've worked in data centers in the area for 20 or so years and even I think Loudoun has gone a bit crazy in the recent years especially when it comes to AI data centers.
Legacy data centers are critical infrastructure for everyone -- even those who hate data centers. I really think it's important to draw a distinction between legacy and AI data centers so the cancer can be treated without killing the body.

I honestly used to regard Loudoun County Sheriff's Office as one of the better police agencies but they have really begun a downhill turn that started with ICE cooperation and even before this article I've noticed that they have been less transparent.
I've been subscribed to their alerts for many years and they've not only fallen in quality but they've shifted to not including the full release in the alerts any longer and, instead, putting them behind a link with tracking.

Apparently there is a gas leak in Ashburn along Waxpool Road. I think I might delay going in to work for a while. I know some data centers have been evacuated (unsure which) as well as Wegmans and buildings around that area. Listening to scanner and heard them identify an 8 inch line.

This is genuinely affecting me. It's been years since I've been on the truck but I can't help remembering every simple smell of gas call I'd been on...... And then imagine having to continue to work an emergency scene when I know my brothers and sisters have been injured and lost their life. I know it happens now and again but this one is hitting a little too close.

Shooter signs up for "get out of jail for shooting people insurance" and then shoots someone first chance he gets.
I've been accosted by people pushing religion, trying to take surveys, asking for directions, people with actual mental illness-- didn't need to shoot any of them.
This is at the mall closest to where I live.

Well we're home from Thanksgiving travels. Taking the #SilverLine to #IAD before Thanksgiving was super smooth and easy, not to mention cheap!
However we are not strong enough to take it home from IAD. Double the time was too much on the end of a long, delayed trip home for us, so we cabbed it. Glad it's there though!
