Nová deska Davida Gilmoura na blu-ray v Dolby Atmos se slušnou dynamikou oproti standardnímu mixu na CD/HD streamech — odpoledne mi přišla. Tak to by už šlo.

@zechy Něčím, co nemá ořezanou dynamiku (což zrovna v tomhle případě neplatí, obávám se, zrovna tohle je typický produkt #LoudnessWar) a s rychlými změnami. Rock. Většinou pouštím Poison od Alice Coopera a Hotel California od Eagles.

It's honestly sad to see how many labels, especially larger ones, are still fighting the loudness war. If I want to hear clipped audio, I can join any Call of Duty voice chat.
No need to buy a flac. -
Bowie must be the only artist that I've ever bought successive remasters of. I mean the original RCA CD's sound different to the 90's Ryko editions (which had lots of out-takes). My faves for a long while were the AU20 CD's which were very uncompressed. Was mir bei Audio-Streaming-Diensten regelmäßig auf den Sack geht: Bei vielen älteren Sachen kriegste da immer nur die Remastered-Versionen. Und wenn die um 2000 rum remastered wurden, sind sie halt meistens kaputt gemastert. #loudnesswar

If you push your music above -14 LUFS it will be turned down anyway. This is playing at 100% volume from YouTube.
The red space is how much more expression you could have had at absolutely zero cost.

#LoudnessWar Un conseil aux maisons de disques (qui ne l'écouteront pas, puisqu'il n'y a plus d'oreilles dans ce milieu) : au lieu de détruire irrémédiablement le travail des ingé-son en pratiquant sauvagement la compression numérique comme vous le faites avec vos remastérisations sacrilèges, proposez à vos clients (assourdis par vos soins) du matériel audio trafiqué avec compression incorporée. Ça soulagera les vrais audiophiles.

La #LoudnessWar (aka la "course au volume") fait de plus en plus de ravages, y compris dans les rééditions récentes de CD autrefois propres. La plupart des consommateurs de musique l'exigent, cars ils écoutent dans un environnement bruyant avec un équipement médiocre. Alors la musique en haute fidélité ça se vend mal. Au bout du compte, les oreilles sont formatées au point de préférer un mauvais enregistrement à un concert vivant. C'est triste.
