There's a part of me that wants to sell my #Ableton license and move over to Bitwig. The chief reason being I want to move from Windows and refuse to move to MacOS.
I'd like an operating system where I have control instead of some American Silicon Valley vendor.
#Bitwig, #Reaper, #Mixbus, even #PreSonus StudioOne has a beta in Linux.
#AbletonLive costing as much as it does gives me pause upgrading from 11 to 12, because for the same price, I can get a cross platform DAW.

Well tonight I officially retired my #Apogee #Quartet after nearly 15 years of faithful service. When I purchased the Apogee #Symphony for my primary system I moved the Quartet to my secondary system. Today I figured I’d try updating the control panel app. The app can see the Quartet but the system can’t. *sigh* I have a #Presonus Studio 2|4 I can use while I try and figure out my next moves, although I’m tempted to just hang tough with my current setup.

Had a mini PC with #Windows that I never used, so I installed #Linux #Mint on it too. Now all my computers run either Linux, or #MacOS (mostly Linux).
And so I played a bit with the #Presonus #StudioOne demo, and #Reaper. StudioOne wouldn't have any audio output at all, unless I installed an audio script from the #UbuntuStudio distro first.
Reaper worked all by itself without issues. The engineering at Reaper always had me impressed. The thing is only 12 MB.

Catch-up:
I didn't want to overpay for Edifier S880DB for the first monitor, and wanted to buy a external sound card, so I bought Presonus Eris 3.5 2nd Gen as monitor speakers, and Focusrite Scarlett Solo Gen 4 as an external sound card.
Currently I'm using PC's DAC / Sound card, since the Scarlet didn't arrive yet, but woah, this monitors, even considered as entry level, is a huge bump up from my old 5.1 setup.

If you're trying to #record #HiFi #music and you have a #Presonus #Audiobox 96, I never realized how bad this thing sounded until I got something else. These noisy #preamps were causing a lot of my problems over the years... it might not be you!
For reference, my friend upgraded me to a #Focusrite #Scarlett #4i4 3rd gen in 2022 and that's been my main interface since (I'm not sponsored by Focusrite lol)
