Our beloved Lord Shadow, Bringer of Doom, crossed the Rainbow Bridge Monday morning surrounded by his loving and devastated family.
I’ve done a lot of crying the last couple days.
He’s had some health issues the last few years and we knew the day was coming, but we didn’t expect it so soon or so suddenly.
Sleep well, baby. You’ve earned a peaceful, pain-free rest.

His Lordship was not excited to go to the vet today, but he was a very good boy (with a little help from the gabapentin). His weight is down a bit, so the doctor wants to do another ultrasound. He took his rabies shot like a champ and is now staring at the floor waiting for the gabapentin to wear off.
