A favourite photograph taken this past year as we say goodbye to 2025 and welcome in the New Year.
Back in March it was good to see more installations in place produced by local artist/sculptor Ray Lonsdale, who has his workshop in South Hetton, Co Durham.
Two new sculptures, made of corten steel and inspired by the city's former shipbuilding industry, were unveiled on the banks of the River Wear in Sunderland.
One of the eye-catching pieces portrays a young girl, sitting on a bench while her grandfather regales stories of when he worked building ships. -
