After several years, it is finally receiving updates. The browser is based on the #Mozilla Firefox engine and can therefore also use #Firefox add-ons. Midori is also available for #Android.
I really liked the #setup dialog for configuring the browser. You can customize the colors and layout of the toolbars however you like.
The included extras are rather sparse. The #VPN didn't work for me because the #login screen got stuck in an endless loop. I'd also recommend turning off the built-in #adBlocker and using uBlock Origin instead.
That said, I'm thrilled to have a very lightweight browser again, precisely because it's fast and uses not much RAM.

Notta saapa nähdä montako päivää tässä menee totutellessa, tahi tuleeko meille nyt sittenkin uusi tietokone kotiin. Harmi, että olen itse treeniohjelman vuoksi jumissa Applessa, sitä kun ei Linuxille saa.
En kyllä tiedä saisiko edes millään Linux versiolla vaihdetuksi tilistä toiseen pelkän lepotilan kautta, kirjautumatta joka välissä ulos.

The #nosh Guide has a guide/virtual-terminal-login.html chapter on virtual terminal login, showing how all of the pieces fit together in such scripts, which bits are collectively what ttymon(1M) used to do and which bits are collectively what login(1M) used to do.
The same tools can be put together in other ways for other purposes. See the guide/login-conf.html chapter for how they can improve SSH by giving you ~/.login_conf support, for example.

I can finally say I’ve upgraded successfully to #Fedora40. It was not without hassle this time and it started with what seemed to be a system that did not even give me a prompt after #rebooting, although the update process had seemed to go smoothly and quickly. Luckily, the virtual screens were working and so I could #login to a #shell. Although #sddm didn’t seem to be working, #kdm was and so I was able to open a desktop session, but only in #Gnome

• Ist eine "#Passphrase" sicherer als ein "#Password" oder nicht? (Ich habe mal gelernt, dass Einträge aus Wörterbüchern vermieden werden sollen, weil Computer die leicht abgleichen können.)
• Gibt es einen guten Grund dafür, für Anmeldungen (#Login|#daten) eine maximale #Anzahl an Zeichen und eine #Beschränkung auf bestimmte #Zeichen vorzuschreiben? (Egal ob für den #Account, das #Konto, #Benutzer:in oder eben das #Passwort.)
