  2. Lodi wineries take on unique approach for Dry January

Lodi is one of the most diverse winegrowing regions with over 130 varieties produced. Trying them all can seem like an impossible task, but this month, wineries are encouraging you to do just that: break out of your usual routine with a fun alternative. They’re calling it “Try January.” “Even if every wine…

  3. @stevenray @MarkusWine Been a fan of #Lodi as a wine destination for a long time.

My favorite #Zin from there is #MikamiVinyards which unfortunately still doesn't have its own tasting room.

My favorite wineries there that do have a tasting room are #KlinkerBrick & #HarneyLane which also make great wines.

I've also often eaten at #Wine&Roses in the past but haven't eaten there since #CharliePalmer took over the restaurant there largely because the hours have changed & the prices have risen significantly since the take over but I'll eat there again sometime soon.

  10. Good morning. 😴⏰☕

    28 July 2025

Do you remember Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR)? Of course you do—everybody knew them back in the day. They were my favorite, right around the time I was just old enough to start making those questionable decisions teenagers are known for. And boy, did I make them. I recall one particular incident involving Buckhorn Beer that I won’t go into—but trust me, it was stupid. At the time, I lived less than an hour south of Lodi, California, just off Highway 99.

    "Just about a year ago
I set out on the road
    Seekin' my fame and fortune
Lookin' for a pot of gold
Things got bad, and things got worse
I guess you will know the tune
Oh, Lord, stuck in Lodi again

    Rode in on the Greyhound
I'll be walkin' out if I go ..." - Composed by John Fogerty · Recorded by Creedence Clearwater Revival

"Sometimes I think life is just a rodeo—the trick is to ride and make it to the bell." — John Fogerty

  13. "On the morning of December 2nd at 5:00am we #sabotaged various strategically located train lines in Northern #California: in #Pittsburgh, #Oakland, #Niles, #Bahia, and #Lodi. We used a tactic shared by natives and accomplices of the Wet'Suwet'en tribe in so called #Canada. We took large gauge copper wire and wrapped it around both rails of the same train track. Doing this completed the low voltage current running thru the rails notifying the train operator that the track is occupied and cannot be used until the obstruction is found and removed. This method for stopping train traffic yields the lowest possibility for derailment, and thus the least likely to cause harm to human or animal life. We did this in #solidarity with the ongoing resistance to #genocide being waged against #Palestinians by the so called state of #Israel." :antifa_100:
