Pal and Camilla probably could've done a Paul at any point - would've trivialized the confrontation with Ianthe - but they wanted to find their family first to say goodbye.

75% of the way through Harrow, and while I love Gideon, this book is indeed brilliant.
After I finish Nona I will need to re-read from the beginning.

I'd like to commission a piece of artwork for an RPG prop. I hope to make a fictional magazine set in Tamsyn Muir's Locked Tomb universe and I'd like to commission the cover and perhaps back cover artwork for it. Obviously, the magazine itself is of a prurient nature (Does any other kind of magazine exist among the Nine Houses?) but I'm not looking for smut, just a somewhat-suggestive piece in the style of a fashion magazine cover, plus the typography to make it look the part. The fake religion designed to keep the populace in ignorant servitude of an endless war to keep Dear Leader alive. Casual murder of entire planets. The rigid social structure. Squabbling, privately blasphemous megalomanics in charge.

I have now read through #HarrowTheNinth twice, #NonaTheNinth twice, and I'm starting Harrow again.
The first line of mysterious writing only Harrow can see, in HtN, finally makes sense. At least halfway.
I swear, this series is structured so there's action, and then the information you need to understand the action is in the NEXT book. Good thing Tamsyn Muir is such an engaging writer.
