I wish I took my phone with me to investigate the banging I heard but I thought it was birds. The other day I saw a loose brick in our chimney and a nest tucked behind it so I expected the brick to be pushed out eventually. What I didn't expect to see when I checked was a large racoon hanging from the chimney and looking rather sheepish.

Having just been stung on the foot (again), I am more determined than ever to declare that jack jumper ants have no place in this universe.
Smashed down a Telfast and iced the sting site, but really not looking forward to the delayed itching tomorrow.
