The place was a co-working VR environment, even if I think the concept of it in VRChat is a bit flawed (like, you work with a full VR headset? Not even a passthrough one? Or you have your game in the background?) It was pretty sweet! It also had some very dangerous books to prop-surf with and a bar.

LinuxVRC Bowling Championship!
(The 100th LinuxVRC Meetup Special)
To celebrate the 100th LinuxVRC Meetup, the host KawaneRio @rio has decided to host a Bowling Championship. We will have fabulous badges for everyone that participates!
The event will take place right after the 100th LinuxVRC Meetup. (0500 JST, 1/5/2026)
This will be streamed LIVE on YouTube and Twitch.
The instance will be Group Only.
🎮 Game Rules and Prizes 💰
One game per participant.
Max of 24 participants may join.
Max of 50 players in the instance (please understand that participants takes priority and that non-participants may be asked to leave in order to make room for the participants)
If the bowling machine determines the player has crossed the line to the lane while throwing the ball, that score will be a zero regardless of the pins they knock down for that round.
The moderators are in charge of the final score.
The player with the highest score in the world is the Bowling Champion. The Bowling Champion wins a gold medal and a Steam gift card equivalent to their score in USD
For example, if their score was 100, they win a $100 Steam gift card.
The player with the second highest score wins a silver medal and a Steam gift card worth tenth of their score.
For example, if their score was 100, they win a $10 Steam gift card.
The player with the third highest score wins a bronze medal and a month of VRC+.
One randomly drawn player with a score besides the top two wins a "Lucky Star", and a Steam gift card worth half of their score.
For example, if their score was 100, they win a $50 Steam gift card.
The value of penultimate (second-to-last) score times ten will be donated to the world creator in JPY.
For example, if the penultimate score was 100, then a 100 × 10 → 1000 JPY will be donated to the world author.
Additionally, the player with the penultimate score will receive a surprise "booby prize".
All players with a final score wins a participation badge.
Turkeys 🦃
One player may claim One turkey prize! For example, a perfect game player cannot claim all four turkey prizes, they must pick one.
First player to score a turkey (3 consecutive strikes) wins a Steam Controller (or $100 donated to charity/organization of their choice).
First player to score a wild turkey (6 consecutive strikes) wins a Steam Deck (or $400 donated to charity/organization of their choice).
First player to score a golden turkey (9 consecutive strikes) wins a Steam Frame (or $600 donated to charity/organization of their choice).
First player to score a Perfect Game (12 consecutive strikes) wins a Steam Machine (or $800 donated to charity/organization of their choice).

Personally, as an open-source enthusiast, I would also like to recommend alternative VRSNS softwares/projects such as #V-Sekai (like VRChat, but uses #Godot , which is an Open Source Game Engine similar to Unity) and #Overte (Open Source VR project forked from #Vircadia , which has its roots from now defunt #HighFidelity), which are decentralized alternatives to VRChat, a centralized proprietary software/company...
