CVE-2026-50090 is a critical vulnerability (CVSS 9.3) in the Aqara Cloud OAuth Authorization Endpoint (open-cn.aqara.com/oauth/authorize).
🔗 CVE-2026-50090 | Aqara | Valters IT Hub
If you're connecting your Aqara devices directly to Home Assistant and are not using the Aqara cloud, then my read on this is that you should be good to go. This is not a vulnerability in the devices themselves but with the Aqara cloud stuff.

It took a few years, but Apple finally made its AI look useful. Now millions of iPhone users in Europe are being told they won't be getting Siri AI anytime soon, if ever - and Apple wants them to blame the EU.
Ha ha ha I'm not sure if I'm out of touch or if Apple is out of touch but do they really think the masses are chomping at the bit to get AI inserted into every aspect of their digital lives??
I bet many are happy that they're not getting this new 'feature'.

In general, I think the safest use of LLMs is when you already know exactly what you want and you just need the clanker to implement or find the small tidbit of missing info.
🔗 Kagi Search, human connection, and why LLMs are not a good search replacement | Alex Selimov
Yes agreed 💯

There’s a lot that doesn’t add up in a security advisory password manager Dashlane published Monday, warning that attackers managed to obtain 20 encrypted user vaults.
“Starting on Sunday, May 31, 2026, an external party launched a brute force attack against certain Dashlane user accounts,” the company said. “The goal of the attack was to brute-force two-factor authentication (2FA) protections to allow the attacker to register new devices on existing user accounts.”

Meta’s AI support chatbot proved unusually helpful to hackers looking to steal and resell notable Instagram accounts—the hackers simply asking the bot to change the accounts’ associated email addresses while using VPN to mask their true locations.
🔗 Hackers duped Meta AI support chatbot to steal celebrity Instagram accounts
If not for Ars reporting this, I'd think is was fake. Hilarious.

People are multifaceted and can hold opposing views. Yet, instead of discussing these contradictions openly from a place of mutual respect, we often make assumptions: this person is not like me and is therefore on the wrong side of the argument.
Yes, I know AI was trained on stolen data — including my writing — and I've been dealing with that tension for years. At one point, I tried to block AI bots from the site and added a login requirement. But that action went against one of my guiding principles about the internet: information should be free and accessible to all.
It's nice to see someone write about AI that wasn't 'AI take all the jobs!!' or 'AI is literal Nazis.'
Hard agree with this article. -

U.S. forces deployed to war zones have been targeted using commercially available location data, according to reports fielded by military officials, an illustration of how the global surveillance economy is shaping the battlefield.
In a letter shared with Reuters by U.S. Senator Ron Wyden, an Oregon Democrat, U.S. Central Command said it had “received multiple threat reports concerning adversary exploitation of commercial location data to target or surveil U.S. personnel in theater.”

Man this is wild! I've seen reports where people are tracking their runs with Strava while deployed on aircraft carriers and it effectively gives away the ship location which should be pretty sensitive information

Today, Last.fm begins a new chapter as an independent company. Ownership has changed, but the product you use every day has not.
Your account, your listening history, and your data remain exactly where they are. The team building Last.fm is the same. The service continues as normal.
