Last week, members of the Alameda Pickleball community celebrated the 92nd birthday of one of their most beloved players, Ed Wong. Although he's only been playing for a year, Ed can be found playing with friends at Lincoln Park at least four times a week.

Alameda’s annual cancer research fundraiser, Relay for Life, came to Leydecker Park on July 20. Alameda’s relay, which is the longest-serving Relay for Life in California, featured multiple commemorations of cancer survivors, patients, caregivers, and those who have lost their lives to the disease.
