  1. #Leopardgeckos (#Eublepharidae) are relatives of the Gekkonidae. The authors P. Jonniaux & Y. Kumazawa (2008) reconstruct using #mtDNA that Eublepharidae and geckos as sister taxa form a sistergroup with #Pygopodidae. Leopardgeckos lack the adhesive lamellae on their feet and the fused transparent eyelids of real geckos. However, the phylogenetic reading is complicated.

  6. CW: rambling about my leopard geckos

    here's an introduction for my #LeopardGeckos / #Geckos!

ro: she's a friendly, fearless little glutton with really sharp claws which she enjoys using to climb on me. she had dropped her tail before i adopted her.

toaster: extremely grumpy and bite-y and reclusive. when i rescued her, i was told that she was male, so i often referred to her as a grumpy old man yelling at everyone to get off his lawn. a vet has since informed me that she is actually female, though the vet agreed that she is indeed very grumpy.

    and that's the whole crew!

  7. #introduction

hello, i'm luka! this is my main account, where i share my random thoughts and boost a variety of content (mostly cute stuff tbh, especially pixel art). check out my full profile to see my side accounts.

fandoms: #DraculaDaily & #Goncharov (can you tell where i'm from?), #Pokemon, #SailorMoon, #SPOP (entrapta is the most relatable character ever for me), #StevenUniverse

other: #CHVRCHES (favorite band of all time), #LeopardGeckos, #Cinnamoroll (i have a "cinnamoroll council" which consists of like two dozen plushies)

    feel free to say hello!

  9. CW: long-winded intro for all of my leopard geckos, where i mention their chronic medical issues and a recent passing

here's an introduction for my #LeopardGeckos / #Geckos! (reposted from my old instance)

sven: RIP Jan 30 2024. named after sven from 80's voltron. he had enigma syndrome so he was rather clumsy but he was also very sweet (and photogenic!). he liked to rearrange his furniture, make a mess, and engage in noisy mischief.

ro: she's a friendly, fearless little glutton with really sharp claws which she enjoys using to climb on me. she was mid-diet in this photo (on vet recommendation). she had dropped her tail before i adopted her. pictured in her current enclosure.

glo: she's very brightly-colored, hence the name! she's extremely chill most of the time. pictured when i first adopted her years ago, before i had finished setting up that tank, because of the weirdly excellent lighting.

toaster: extremely grumpy and bite-y and reclusive. when i rescued her, i was told that she was male, so i often referred to her as a grumpy old man yelling at everyone to get off his lawn. a vet has since informed me that she is actually female, though the vet agreed that she is indeed very grumpy. pictured when i first got her and had her in quarantine. (it's difficult to get good photos of her because she hates everyone.)

    and that's the whole crew!

  10. CW: long-winded intro for all of my leopard geckos, where i mention medical issues (nothing major and they are all doing very well right now)

more importantly, here's an introduction for my #LeopardGeckos / #Geckos!

(it's difficult to get good photos of her.)
