I had (twice) a #Django project for my website. I briefly used a hosted service, and then used #Lektor and #Hugo for my websites.

It’s time for something new, and this time I will build it myself.

Hi vaig escriure un plugin (https://pypi.org/project/lektor-gemini-capsule/) que fa que pugui fer servir el mateix arbre de fitxers i directoris per servir els webs des dels dos protocols (HTTP+gemini).

OK, cool. Heute habe ich zum ersten (und ziemlich sicher nicht zum letzten) Mal einen Auftrag als #Übersetzer an die #KI verloren. #Verlag ließ mitteilen, dass Übersetzungen nur noch per KI gemacht werden, ich dürfe mich aber gerne als #Lektor bewerben, um den Text von (sinngemäß) "minderer Qualität" wieder aufzupolieren. Nein Danke.

War absehbar, aber trotzdem massiv enttäuschend.

Jako że trochę "lektoruję", postanowiłem zapytać w jednym z dużych wydawnictw, czy wydane przez nich bajki autorów, którzy zmarli ponad 70 lat temu (czyli wyłączonych już spod ochrony prawnej) można nagrywać i umieszczać w sieci w celach edukacyjnych - niekomercyjnych?

I co mi odpisuje pani Program Manager zatrudniona w tym wydawnictwie?

Cytuję: "Powieści (tu nazwa wydawnictwa) w formatach cyfrowych są wydawane zgodnie z obowiązującym prawem".

I finally took some time to write a home page at https://jitseniesen.github.io/ . Not much there yet, but hopefully it will be easier to flesh out now that the framework is there.

I used #lektor and used the styling from their webpage but I removed some of the more advanced stuff (the single-page layout, SCSS). It would perhaps have been easier for me to write plain HTML, but this will hopefully be better in the long run.

Some people like to share their thoughts through blogs, while others search the best technical solution for blogging.

After having tested #wordpress, #gohugo, #zola, #pelican, #lektor, #soupault, #nanoc and a few others, I know in which category I might be...

I’m also trying to be more consistent about writing #blog entries. Tried to put together a quick post in my #Lektor blog yesterday and couldn’t figure out where to place a local image for inclusion in the post… still fighting with it.

That in mind, any suggestions for a simple #StaticSiteGenerator? I would like to stick with a #Python one, if only to reinforce my (slowly) budding knowledge of the language. I’ve heard of Hugo, but haven’t delved into it. Recommendations welcome!

Eine neue Version 3.2 des Lektor CMS ist draußen

Wo ich schon dabei bin, liegengebliebene Themen aufzuarbeiten: Bei meinem Bemühungen für ein freies und offenes Web bin ich schon vor einigen Jahren auf Lektor gestoßen, ein freies (BSD-Lizenz), in Python geschriebenes (mit einer GUI in Node.js) CMS, das aus Markdown-Dateien statische Seiten generiert.
