CW: Sprockitten with broken leg, the night before his surgery, speculation on what happened to him
Sprocket’s leg was broken when he was rescued. The doctor said that it had probably been broken for a couple weeks, which makes it hard for me to fathom how he survived. Was he abandoned after his injury, and/or did he survive in the woods/countryside for days like this? Either way makes my heart hurt but I am awed by his resilience and bravery. And also by the happenstance that brought him into my life.
