Ouch, just had a 12 volt wall wart that was powering about 4 metres of LED tape do quite noisy ping as it just died.
To be fair the power supply is about 15 years old and from an old Belkin router. For the last 5 years it has been powering a long LED strip in my bedroom so it has more than done it's time. I think I may have running it at the upper end of it output capacity so surprising that it hadn't quit sooner.
