Borders but now pay France money to protect their borders but it was all worth it for the Blue passport (it's actually black and is made in the EU)
Lastly, #leavers ruined my forty birthday the next day...😡🤬

There is definitely #Brexit benefits but they aren't the one the #leavers promised but they were never unintended.
They were warned about the stability of the #union but they shouted project fear and the rest is history.

This week’s Philosophy Unleashed takes a look at disruption. Both the Public Order Act and erosion of the right to protest in England, and also leavers’ pranks at the end of the school year. Check it out here: https://www.philosophyunleashed.com/theblog/154-disruption-its-importance-and-its-impotence

"It’s time for Remainers to try and make Brexit work"
https://www.newstatesman.com/comment/2022/12/remainers-try-make-brexit-work
Seriously??
If anyone is obliged to make #Brexit work, isn't it #Leavers?
Isn't it the case that #Remainers voted against Brexit and want no part in it?

This would have been so much smarter since the "ideological civil war" would then have been between Leaver camps instead of those difficult-to-reconcile divisions being sidelined by the much more dramatic (but arguably preposterous and entirely unhelpful) framing of a contest between #Leavers and #Remainers / #Rejoiners [2/2]

#Leavers: "A small price to pay for re-establishing our sovereign right to be the #Sick_Man_of_Europe though, innit. Economic devastation, poverty and starvation are our birth-rights as white, racist, financially-illiterate pure-bred Brits!"

There is a paradox here that #Leavers can chew over at their leisure. #Britain was at its most liberal and “Anglo-Saxon” inside the European project.
How #Brexit made Britain a more #European country.

Brexit isn’t working.
You know it, I know it, and so do a third of #leavers, according to recent polling. Yet still the leaders of both Britain’s major parties can’t quite bring themselves to say it.

CW: 🔥 Brexit poll
@mikegalsworthy I can guess where those 33% of Conservatives and 30% #Leavers who think “its going neither well nor badly” are headed, and it’s not very pretty for the #Conservatives or #Brexit 🫣 #gtto

A RESPONSE TO ANGRY #BREXITERS: please help yourself if useful.
Brexiters' anger over supposedly not getting the #Brexit #Leavers voted for fails every test:
1. Was the #EUReferendum question clear about what Brexit would mean? No. It was simply about whether or not the #UK should leave the #EU, not what would happen next. We have now left. That's what Leavers voted for.
2. Did those who led the Leave campaigns know what Brexit would mean? No. They had no shared idea. Many, including some of those moaning the loudest, said they'd be happy with what they now claim would be a betrayal (see my post of yesterday, 21st November).
3. Did Leavers know what it would mean? No. How could they if the question was so vague and even those selling Brexit to them couldn't agree?
4. Given all their confusion, did Brexiters then try to find out what their beloved people thought about the Brexit deal when it finally emerged? No. In fact, they called attempts to do so through a referendum on the deal - the only sure way to find out - betrayal too.
5. Did the 2019 General Election give an answer? No. General elections can't settle binary questions. And even if they could, the British people would have rejected Johnson's deal because a minority voted for parties who supported it.
In short, not only are Brexiters fighting among themselves but they're fighting everyone else too, and all because of their own arrogance, dishonesty and stupidity.
In the meantime, #Remainers have always been consistent: we want to stay part of our continent and enjoy the benefits it offers, and to prevent the predictable (and predicted) ruination of a country we love. We still do.
And now we're in a clear majority. I suspect the Brexiters really know that their game's up. That's why they're so bitter, nasty, angry and infantile.
Which, let's face it, are the only things about which they've ever been consistent.

I am, needless to say, loving this.

So excited to present our leavers song. Inspired by the amazing interpreters on the daily briefings, P7 worked remotely to create our farewell video 😢Thanks to @WaynePBarrow for the stunning performance on YouTube.
