I won this year, hooray! One year I was out in just a few hours. Several times I made it most of the way only to be drummed out in the last day or two.
O, Fortune! How like the moon, always increasing and decreasing, constantly changing!

I spent an anxious hour at the dentist's office as they blared Christmas carols in order to drown out the sounds of dental drills and patients wailing and weeping; and to my great relief there was no Little Drummer Boy! Phew, that felt close.

Lost it good though, at least two different versions played while out to PDX BSD Pizza Night. I didn't realize the #LDBC was a different thing. Explains why I remembered it starting after Thanksgiving.

#Whamageddon starts on December 1, this Friday. Avoid hearing "Last Christmas" by Wham! until the end of Christmas Eve. Remixes and covers don't knock you out.
The Little Drummer Boy Challenge is a few notches tougher. It's already live - since Black Friday - and counts remixes, covers, and parodies: anything with the melody. It runs until the start of Christmas Eve. Deliberate ambushes impact the offender, not the victim. #LDBC
