Here's a question for those of you who have first languages other than English: when you are snarling at an inanimate object, what voice and tone do you use? Do you address it with a familiar "you"? Do you use the imperative? For example, begging one's valve cap on a brass instrument to "C'mon, seat yourself!" Or shouting at a lawnmower, "You piece of $#!t, start!!"

EDIT! Thanks to @larsibacken we now have a proper group which can be reached via @languagelovers
Maybe a good point of departure would be to create a list of resources? I did a quick & dirty image design for this, which I will attach to this message. ;-)
I hope that we can form a supportive & inclusive group for language lovers.

CW: Hey, French-speakers, have a question for ya
I have a character who wants to say a French equivalent of "in for a penny, in for a pound."
Are any of these good/authentic? Or all about the same?
"Qui vole un oeuf, vole un boeuf."
"lorsque le vin est tiré il faut le boire"
"il faut faire les choses jusqu'au bout, et non à moitié "
Character is colorful, gal, funny, if that helps.
