Here's a question for those of you who have first languages other than English: when you are snarling at an inanimate object, what voice and tone do you use? Do you address it with a familiar "you"? Do you use the imperative? For example, begging one's valve cap on a brass instrument to "C'mon, seat yourself!" Or shouting at a lawnmower, "You piece of $#!t, start!!"

Maybe a good point of departure would be to create a list of resources? I did a quick & dirty image design for this, which I will attach to this message. ;-)
