"The Brigade came up to us at Campement des Femmes at breakfast time, having come up Cole's Fals #LaColleRapids very well, as the water is in a good state. Passed the Crooked Rapid in the afternoon, and went 10 mies beyond.
"Thursday. Fine pleasant weather. Pulling the whole day, and made an average day's work.
"Friday. Squally and a little rain. Came a good distance today.

"Pass the Forks of the Riviere Pend D'Oreille at 3 pm -- at half past three came to the foot of Coals Falls #LacolleRapids where all the hands saving the Boute per each boat were obliged to track.
