ALARM! (Stockholm, Sweden, w/ VICTIMS/OUTLAST members) + HARD PASS (Malmö, Sweden) + KRIME
ALARM! are a hardcore punk band from Stockholm, Sweden. After twenty-plus years of playing together in Victims, Andy, Jon and Gareth reunited in early 2023 with the ambition of making some new noise. Jon switched from guitar to bass and the trio wrote a bunch of songs. About a year later they were joined by Jon’s childhood friend, Henrik. This would be the first time the two had played together since their legendary hardcore band Outlast folded in the late 90’s.
Henrik’s vocals and Jon’s bass playing are the key ingredients in taking ALARM!’s sound away from these Swede’s well-known crust punk roots. The bass is both manic and melodic at the same time, pummelling the riffs behind the wall of guitar and drums. Henrik’s piercing vocals, raw yet steeped in emotion, scream of personal anguish and pissed off, political rage. ALARM! have endeavoured to evoke the classic Swedish sound whilst harking back to an ever-so-slight hint of melodic hardcore pre Y2K.

New-ish band, veteran players that have paid their dues in such diverse bands as PYRAMIDO, SATANIC SURFERS, BURST, and ANCHOR. Since their debut Hardcore 2024, the Malmö band has been in constant forward movement. Distorted Eyes is their first full statement, or as the official line puts it, “ten tracks of unrelenting hardcore punk.” No exaggeration there. The opener “Lies” sets the picture of systems failing, truth being commodified, and everyone’s complicity in it. Lyrics read like headlines chewed up and spit back out through a punk filter. The message is consistent: distrust power, reject passivity, and call out the machinery. Sonically, it’s classic hardcore chassis, but not stuck in time. What makes Distorted Eyes stick is conviction. This is hardcore as a delivery system for change.

Het uit Philadelphia afkomstige 𝐏𝐎𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝐑𝐔Ï𝐍 beschikt over een volkomen unieke DIY sound die nog het best te omschrijven is als het bastard child of early Venom and Black Flag, with just a touch of The Wipers’ pop instincts. De grimmige maar pakkende postpunk nummers kennen een prachtige somberheid met killer hooks die de beste ijzige postpunk uit de jaren 80 laat herleven.
Hun laatste album Harvest kwam uit op Relapse Records en ook live heeft Poison Ruin al eens te meer bewezen een garantie te zijn voor zweterige moshpits. Hun anarchistische underground sound kon wel eens de kickstart zijn voor een nieuwe golf bands onder de noemer NWODAP: New Wave of Dark Age Punk, een genre dat precies deze desolate tijden weerspiegelt.

Zolang er een ongekozen monarch op het pluche zit, is Minor Operation Bookings genoodzaakt om Vorst In De Grond Fest te organiseren. Want waar moeten alle koningshaters anders heen om zich het licht zo hard uit de ogen te feesten dat ze de hele Koningsdag-onzin gewoon doorslapen? Dus ook dit jaar trekken we op Koningsnacht, zondag 26 april, weer een blik open met boze punk-, Oi!-, hardcore- en powerviolence-herrie.
Castillo
All the way from Los Angeles komt Castillo met rauwe maar melodieuze Oi! die met één beuk alle pakjes boter indeukt. Wat begon als een covid-project met twee leden is inmiddels uitgegroeid tot een goed geoliede oorlogsmachine.Waterschade
Waterschade is ondertussen niet meer weg te denken uit het Nederlandse punklandschap. Hun woede over een maatschappij gebouwd op uitbuiting, kapitalisme, racisme en patriarchaat gieten ze in retestrakke songs en een vlammende liveshow.Robber

De avond wordt geopend door dit jonge powerviolence-trio dat in korte tijd een reputatie heeft opgebouwd voor herrie maken op de gekste plekken. Zo speelden ze onlangs nog op het toilet bij Flinty’s. Bereid je voor om de stront uit je oren geblazen te krijgen.Choose Love
De punkrock-fundraisers van Minor Operation Donations zijn er ook weer bij om geld op te halen voor Choose Love, de internationale organisatie die humanitaire hulp biedt aan vluchtelingen. Ze verkopen gedoneerde subculturele parafernalia; jij bepaalt zelf wat je betaalt en iedere cent gaat naar het goede doel. Sinds hun oprichting in 2018 haalden ze al meer dan €50.000 op. PUNK = LIEFDE.

We have another cool CIN night, at (ex squatted) autonomous space, De Paraplu Fabriek Plupub!
This is a very special show for us. Local bands and friends in solidarity, have gathered and will line up to throw a free entry benefit show as part of the @heelnijmegenplat festival to raise funds for Buying the Grote Broek! Yes! Donations (cash or digital) at the entrance are welcome to support the buying of the building de Grote Broek!

De Plupub (located in de Paraplufabrieken)Krime
Krime is a very Nijmegen local band, featuring ex members of Citizens Patrol and Brat Pack. Their sound goes back to the mid eighties. Fierce punk with a hardcore backbeat, but keeping it fresh with a Cali melody and even some Motorhead influences in it. They might even drop a d-beat or two.Sjonnie en he Talent
Put the hopeless teenage dreams of a pack of stray dogs into the blender, turn it on, and what you get: Sjonnie.Politically charged lyrics wrapped in childish punk melodies!
Krimewave
Krimewave is the new fav HC band, with members from all over the Netherlands, from Forbidden Wizards, Real Farmer, BombStrap and Rats on Rafts. They got fierce influences and will make you mosh like crazy. You can even throw the singer on the drumset, they'll make a banger show.The show will finish at 23.00 so you have plenty of time to catch one of the afterparties of Heel Nijmegen Plat
