LLM truncation in KoAssistant/Ollama is causing my prompt to be cut off.
The Fix:
1️⃣ Move from large models (e.g., 26B) to mid-size (e.g., 12B) to free up VRAM.
2️⃣ Create a Modelfile with PARAMETER num_ctx 32768.

Ha, glad it worked out!
If you want to have highlighting that you can sync from your kobo to your computer, you need to install #KOReader onto your #kobo, which is supposedly pretty easy. I haven't done it yet. I just use the built-in reader "software" and manually back up my kobo's storage every couple weeks.

enviei un primeiro traballo cos elementos principais a #simpleUI , a interface para #KOReader https://github.com/doctorhetfield-cmd/simpleui.koplugin/pull/471 . Nas próximas semanas, se aceptan a colaboración, enviarei o traballo completo. No meu lector funciona correctamente, pero hai cadeas de texto que proceden directamente de KOReader, teño esa impresión, así que igual teño que adaptar a miña #tradución para que concorden. Emporiso, creo que «Highlights» está traducido de formas diferentes dentro de KOReader, pareceume que mistura Notas, Comentarios, Destacados, Resaltados,... Isto non ven ao caso, pero coméntoo porque pareceume que é así.

unha característica moi útil en #koreader é a de poder crear un código QR a partir dun texto seleccionado.
- seleccionas un texto no libro que estás a ler
- premes na opción «Xerar código QR»
- aparece en pantalla o código creado
- escanéalo co móbil
- …creas unha nota, envíalo por correo, publícala no fediverso, … todas as opcións que aparecen no teu dispositivo ao premer na icona «Compartir».
Nun momento pasas un texto do lector ao móbil, se precisar bluetooth, mesma rede Wi-Fi, nin conectar un cable. Podes probar a escanear esta mesma imaxe que publico e verás que contén o texto citado (é seguro, non te vou hackear, palabrita :sorrisosloth: )

Thanks to @_elena mentioning SimpleUI recently, KOReader on my jailbroken old 2015 Kindle Paperwhite just got a lot prettier and easier to use. It was also easy to add to KOReader on Android. https://github.com/doctorhetfield-cmd/simpleui.koplugin

Incredible amount of amazon telemetry and ad services when a kindle is added to the network.
Luckily once you set up koreader and only need LAN for file transfers, after registering the device (unfortunately required), its as simple as blocking the device connections to WAN within the openwrt luci network traffic rules (if you have an openwrt router that is).

Special day today: the home screen of my jailbroken e-reader informed me I hit a 100-day reading streak. This week's average reading time has been 42 minutes a day 🥳
I owe it all to #KOreader and #SimpleUI - somehow having visible metrics motivated me to pick up my #Kindle every day.

As stupid as it sounds needing "tips" to read a book most of these are pretty good. Maybe this myself and to some extents this lady are dumb dumbs but yeah man #Dune is a book I had to put effort like real effort to get into but I feel the juice is worth the squeeze.
The only other "tip" I would recommend is have a way to easily look up words. Either "in app" (#KOReader English-English Wikitionary is a life savor for this) or some other external means, because if feels like every other page I am like "Okay is this a 60s scifi term, a 60s term that meant something different, the author using a fancy word, or just a made up Dune word.

Me: "It's far too inconvenient to plug my Kobo in to update to the serialized novels I'm reading."
Also me: "After a week of tinkering, I finally ironed out all the bugs in my update script and got synchronization to work outside the house. I just need to tap these settings in this order and ensure this service is running beforehand..."
Koreader + BookOrbit is glorious though.

Bueno, mi gente. Cambié la batería de mi Kobo porque se le fundía a toda velocidad y un día dejó de encenderse, con la ayuda del hilo de @johansolo. Sin haberlo usado demasiado desde entonces, hoy tengo el mismo problema: lo cargué esta mañana, estaba al 100%, y esta noche está al 41%. Sus estadísticas de batería en #KoReader dicen que ha consumido un 29% en 9h y que el otro 28% se lo ha gastado en 2h y pico de encendido, aunque no he estado ni de lejos tanto rato usándolo hoy. ¿Supongo que tengo que darlo por finalizado en su vida útil? Lo compré hace justo unos 5 años. :(

I tried installing #KOreader on the #pocketbook, as per https://github.com/koreader/koreader/wiki/installation-on-pocketbook-devices. Now I see a lot of resource files in the PocketBook library, e.g. "back.top", which belong to koreader apparently? (./applications/koreader/resources/icons/mdlight/back.top.svg)
I .... don't think this is intended???
What am I doing wrong? -
Finished reading Bram Stoker's #Dracula last night. Worth a read if just for the first few chapters in Dracula's castle. I found it sort of petered out after that, and the exciting conclusion I was hoping to find never really measured up to the first act.
I'd give it 3/5, but if you just want to read the first act as a short story I'd give that part 5/5.
I read the #ProjectGutenberg version with #KOReader on my #Kindle.
