I signed up for some online courses to learn Javascript with the goal of developing my own apps one day. I've researched free text editors (because I'm generally cheap by nature), and I've whittled down my choices to these four. I would appreciate your input as I begin this journey. Keep in mind that I am a Windows kind of guy.

I've finally got around to abandoning #KomodoEdit, which sounds like it had been discontinued a while ago – the free version I mean. I Found that it still opens files okay, but wouldn't launch on its own.

I'd been hearing that #VSCode was very good lately, but I'd been resisting because of its roots with MS. Well, I installed it finally and am jumping in as I have a small coding project. Seems good so far.
