Think of the rising CO2 red line as the top of the once open window in the car your daughter is sleeping in.
CO2 holds heat. Like a car's closed windows hold heat. Heat is increasing, forests are drying out. The red line is the top of the window, your daughter is asleep, the forest is kindling.

It isn't a tragedy, its an assault.

This fire started in spring, when ground in all previous years would be too wet to burn long. It has not slowed since it started, because the forests are so dry they burn easily, because climate change has dried the forests into kindling.
