...and most of the time, I couldn't make real English words out of the kids' misheard, mispronounced phonemes. (Decades later, I figured one out: when S. asked me what "squesh-ah" was in German, what she was really asking about was the word "special." Sorry, S. I had no clue about that one.)
If they had the printed lyrics, it wasn't a problem. But it's not like we had the internet. We had to wait until somebody bought the album & brought the cassette tape insert to school or #Kinderhort.
