Apparently it's #WorldTurtleDay.

We don't get turtles around here as a general rule but I did release a track about space turtles a little while ago..

It even has a video. With turtles, courtesy of a few lovely contributors on Pixabay.

So far these have travelled, or will be travelling, at least 28,500km around the world, as the crow flies - so probably quite a lot more than that when following standard shipping/air routes.

That's nearly three quarters of the way around the planet! It's quite astonishing to me - I have, or will have, physical Key 13 media on 3 continents.

There's still two free box sets left, can we circumnavigate the globe?

Ok managed to make some more today.

Everyone who has received an edition number from me: yours is now in the post and should be with you in the next 7 working days or sooner.

I've got a couple more sets of templates printed out but no more time until next week - then that'll be the lot I think. If you want one, get in quick.

The full set, printed and burned.

Aligning the CD artwork in the printer seems to be a bit random. The same setting doesn't always produce identical results - must be something to do with the way the tray is inserted which is annoying.

They do look beautiful though, if I do say so myself!

Now I just need a mini box slip to put them in.

If you previously downloaded the "Eleusis - Prehistory of Key 13" release, you might want to download it again (sorry!)

Apparently the original uploads had a lot of high frequency noise/hiss which was irritating to people with better ears than I have (I can't hear high frequencies at all).

Many thanks to @retech and @desolationpark for lending me their ears while I managed to eliminate the issues.

Remember those old music files I found on a CD-R a few days ago?

I've cleaned them up a little with RX and Ozone, and released them as a mini-album of sorts. These date from the mid-1990s, the files were in a bit of a state and the quality in all respects is.. a bit poor, so listen with that in mind..

I should probably mention that there is a tiny little new Key 13 track on today's upcoming #BonkWave release. It could be #NotBonkWave I suppose, who knows...

The track title was taken from some spam posts we had on the BonkBoard. The track itself was made entirely with Cherry Audio's Elka X soft synth, even the percussion.

Release party at 20:00 UTC which is 21:00 in London, 22:00 in Brussels, 16:00 in New York and 13:00 in Vancouver.

It's #MusiciansDay - am I a musician? Who knows.. I generally only use virtual instruments, does that count?

But I do make some things that are approximately music, as Key 13. In the last couple of months of 2025 I made some tracks using a real instrument, of sorts - although perhaps it's more of an expensive toy.

"audius consumed" was made entirely on a Teenage Engineering OP-XY - and while it starts with me just playing around, I got better...

So, now it's been on #TIBtv Fresh, I can release my new video. Which is a very old track I hate, and hate even more having spent two weeks lining up all the Patternodes animations to match it :)

So here's a challenge: do you want to remix it into something wild and random - "Unexpected!" - that I might actually like?

I might have submitted another Key 13 video to #TIBtv .. brand new, completely self-animated this time, no reliance on third-party footage.

But, on the other hand, it is a *very* random track I chose to animate. So there's that. And I have no clue what I'm doing with animation, so there's that as well.. 😂

I'll throw it onto Hyper8 at some point next week, but for now it will be exclusive to The Indie Beat TV.

So.. there's a Key 13 EP launch party tonight at 20:00 UTC on the BonkWave party server. Chat will open about 15 minutes before.

The EP is only 17 minutes long.

Assuming anyone turns up, is anyone interested in hanging around a bit longer for a semi random Key 13 jukebox? Or is that just a step too far! (NB these would just be the released versions, without custom videos, I'm not playing live)
