Built the ship. Got to parking #orbit. Transferred to #Munar orbit. Low Munar orbit. Collected science. EVA 8km from Munar surface to get #science out of modules. Back to #Kerbin. 2y journey! 11 million km there and back.
Couldn't seem to stage orbit rocket, so it overheated and exploded 40km from safety.

#Kerbal Space Command regrets to announce the death of Astronaut Jebediah Kerman. The first Kerbal in space and to complete multiple orbits o #Kerbin. He was also the first Kerbal to walk in space, leaving the capsule 250,000 meters above the planet and was the first to pilot a jet plane.
The Chair of Kerbal Aeronautics & Space Administration said, "His bravery was matched only by his stupidity."
The Head of Kerbal Astronautics added, "We are now accepting applications".
