FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The Coyote Mischief Patrol wishes to thank our colleagues with the Park Service for allowing us to assist in rescuing this adorable elk seen along the banks of Clear Creek last month. Rupert the elk was turned over to Ranger Orion for care until such time as he may be rehabilitated and released back into the wild.

Fedizens are reminded that interfering with, harassing, or feeding any REAL elk poses a significant threat not only to the animal, but also to any persons attempting to engage in any such activity. Please do your part to help us keep our wildlife wild by observing any wildlife you encounter from a safe distance!

This Black-tailed deer fawn was too curious to stay hidden in the bush. I didn't call it, fed it nor did I approach it. And I thought it would be better that it did not get accustomed to humans so I took a few shots and quickly left.
