In better news, Steven sings the praises of the BBC show Ludwig, which is like Doctor Who if Doctor Who was a crime procedural, and Gallifrey One continues with their second wave of guest announcements! Plus more exciting Circuit Breaker updates, New Paradigm Dalek dollies, more mutant heads aka Funko Pops, and another edition of The Timelash!

I saw the #trailer for the feature #film and added it to my #Kanopy queue.

Then, the short, hosted by the #Omeleto #YouTube channel, popped up in my list of recommendations.

I watched the short #movie a few days ago and loved it, especially the ending:

I just watched the feature and loved the tone, atmosphere, and #DaisyRidley's acting, but it added nothing and weakened the ending:

#TheGirlOnTheTrain, 2014, #DirectedBy #LarryBrand and starring the late #NickiAycox, #HenryIanCusick, and #StephenLang is a languid, pensive #noir that is solid even with the affectation of much of its dialogue.

Only 80 minutes, its two stories are told well, and the one's that "secondary" packs emotional weight in both tellings.

It honors noir traditions in its story and how it all plays and, though uneven, is worth watching for something different.
