NSW to Ban Privatisation of Public Hospitals
The NSW government is introducing "Joe’s Law" to block future privatisation of public acute hospitals. The law is named after two-year-old Joe Massa, who died in September after waiting three hours in the emergency department of Northern Beaches Hospital—a private-public partnership (PPP) operated by Healthscope.
