Today's photo: Sarphatipark (1891). The pumping station, built in Swiss chalet style. The park is about 2 meters below sea level, below the surrounding neighbourhood, so a dedicated pumping station was required to keep the park dry. The station is still in use. The original steam engine has been replaced by an electric pump.
